Why do I see a Frat boy in our future?!

A couple weekends ago something happened that left me speechless and shocked. While I was inside (kitchen) making breakfast and doing dishes, Will was running in and out of the house. I could see and hear him fine, so I didn't suspect much when the door closed for the last time and he went to play. With the last load of dishes soaking and dinner in the oven, I stepped outside. I didn't see or hear Will... so, I called him. Then I heard giggling. Oh dear... Will was squatting in between the car and the wall with a BEER!!!! He somehow figured out that if he threw it just right it'd make a whole in the bottom and pop the top. So, he's my 2 1/2yr old son shot gunning a beer for breakfast!!! I (of course) took it away.... Will was begging me to give it back with "Ma, maaaaa, ma!" and following me. After I set the can in the sink, Will ran back outside and proceeded to grab his "stash" on his little table. Before I could even get to him again, he started throwing it on the ground!! Needless to say I took all of the beers away and gave them ALL away!! (We don't drink beer... and those had been sitting outside in the cooler since Feb.)
FYI- I already had the camera with me... its part of my "going outside" attire.

The following weekend he locked us out of the house!! UGH!! Are we having fun yet?! :)

3 months later....

I can't believe its been 3 months since I last wrote anything on here! So, much has happened... Josh came to visit, Will and I flew back to help my mom out post-op, Snoball passed away, Will saw all 3 of my brothers (plus his cousins- Hailey and Kailee- and Aunt Claudia), we were stranded in Hawaii for a week, and so much more!! For now I'm just uploading pictures... later I'll try to write a few "catch-up's".

A little update- we're all back together in Guam now! Things are going better and getting better everyday. :)

Good-bye Hawaii... and hello Guam!
Swimming with Uncle Leevi and cousin Hailey.
Chilling by the pool with Hailey and Kailee
Oh Uncle Isaiah!
Looking out the window on the C-17
Do I have to sign for that?!
What's this cold stuff Mom?
Good bye old friend... I miss you so much.

Will says (does) the darnedest things!

Just random things Will says these days...

Will was talking on the phone to my mom (Gahma) one day. Gramma asked Will what Abby was up to. Will replied back, "My boonie? Huh?" with a shrug. It was funny that he referred to Abby as "boonie".

One night at dinner...
Will- "MOM!"
Me- "Yes Will?"
Will- "Mom," *pause* "Nice grub."
I still have no idea where he got "grub" from since we don't use that word! Its funny nonetheless.

While driving home one day this past weekend Will was making silly sounds with his tongue. I started making the same noises back to him and he thought that was splendid! Our "conversation" went on for close to 10 minutes before I couldn't keep up the speed any more.
Then the next day, he thought he was cool stuff because he made car sounds every time we passed/pulled alongside one.

(Not "word" related, but hilarious!)
Will has a "See-n-Say" toy... its round and has a lever you yank down and it makes animal sounds while saying the name of the critter. Well, he started grabbing the center that spins around to make weird noises with it. What's funny is when he does it sounds more like he's scratching a record! Even better is he'll lean one ear into another toy and stand there "scratching" on his "turn table". I've been trying really hard to get a video of this, but every time I get the camera he tells me, "NO MA!" and runs away. I hope I can get a video of this soon! Its really priceless!!!
This is his special blanket that I will turn into a pillow whenever he outgrows toting it around. :)

BANG!

About two weeks ago right around 3pm, someone tried to break into our house! Will was eating snack in the living room and I was cleaning out the fridge (Abby was begging). When Abby's ears twitched I jokingly asked (in a kinda loud voice) if she was hearing the phone before it rings. It was then the screen door was slammed shut! I ran to the door and didn't see anything. So, went back to what I was doing. Then I saw some guy jump and trip over Will's kiddy pool on the side of the house (he completely moved it and made a loud noise). Upon seeing this I bolted out the front door and started yelling really freaking loud that I'd kick their @$$ if they came back while waving a big wooden spoon in my hand! Adrenaline pumping I was ready to beat someone up and that wooden spoon would've been a deadly weapon. The trespasser can thank the phone for ringing because otherwise I would chase after them. James had called and I informed him what happened. I made the mistake of saying that when I heard the door the first thought was a stray animal (which has happened before, but never that loud). Honestly, it didn't fully hit me what had happened and what could have happened until after I hung up the phone.
The next day I went to the Dededo Precinct to report the attempted break-in. After unloading Will and getting every situated I walk in to be informed of a shift change and basically brushed off. So, I left and returned an hour later. The Officer I spoke with wouldn't make a written report due to the fact I "didn't see a face" and "no harm was done". He then went on to give ME a "verbal counseling" on my rights and what precautions to take. I was informed that unless we have a "NO TRESPASSING" sign posted then IF someone walks on the property and I injure them (protecting my family) that I could be held liable for their damages. Also, I need to have the screen door and/or the regular door locked at all times. And in the event someone "walks" into my house because the door wasn't locked I have to ask the intruder, "What's your business here?" before I can take physical actions. There was more said, but you get the drift of how the system works here. I left the precinct feeling unsatisfied and like they thought I was overreacting. That is one of many reasons I want to move on base!
I had the pool propped against the wall/fence to dry out.

Valentines, Elmo and screaming!

We had a real nice Valentine's day weekend! James and I had our date on the 13th... we went to see one of my favorite comedians- Anjelah Johnson! It was so funny! Imagine, a room full of drunk people that laugh at anything and everything. Its was so priceless.
Most of Saturday and Sunday was spent looking for James' military ID. Before our date (when I went to pick up the sitter) I looked ALL around his work! Couldn't find it. We turned the house upside down and downside up. Nothing. So, after 2 base passes (I had to sponsor my sponsor on base... I find that really funny!) and James looking all over his work, he found it! Phew!

Later in the week I took Will to see the Sesame Street show on base. The line to get in was long and the school kids were pretty rude about Will being on a monkey harness (so he doesn't run off). Anyways, once inside we had to wait 20+ minutes for the show to start. Will had two fits in that time frame and I would simply pick him up (kicking, screaming and punching) put my hand on his mouth and step outside to calm down. Sure enough he'd be fine. It was insanely loud inside between all the kids and the LOUD A/C units! It hurt my ears! So, once the show started Will had a good time watching it. However, ALL of the kids were screaming. Will decided to plug his ears and yell/scream AT me!! So, we ended up heading home. I'm glad he got to see some of it.

Otherwise, we're doing good! We're just preparing for our BBQ next weekend and my brother's arrival. :)
(I'll try to add some more pictures soon!)

He speaks!

Its been awhile since I've had a chance to post anything on here! And a lot has been "said".
So here it goes...

Recently, I decided to open the typhoon shutters on Will's window to let in the light and so his window can be open during the day. That way Will could see his stuffed animals in the morning and play quietly allowing me to catch a few extra minutes of sleep. So, the morning after that was done I half awoke around 7am (which he is usually up and raring to go) just to hear silence. I then doze off for a bit more... 8am rolls around and still he is sleeping! Sweet! So, I wake up (fully) around 8:15am and get my day going. As I exit the master bedroom I hear him awake. He's in his room singing "Ma ma" song and then I hear him say as clear as can be in a loud voice- "I NEED MY MAMA!!" I was then expecting his door to open and have him standing there staring at me, but it didn't. I carefully open his door and there he is in bed singing to me! That is one wake up I absolutely loved!

A day or two later on one of our many walks, Will is pointing and asking what things are- like tree, bird, car, etc. And of course he waves and says "Hi" to everything that passes by. Well, this one car was coming up from behind us pretty fast and Will heard it. He leans over the side of his stroller waving his fist and yells "O Dow!" (in other words "slow down"). It was priceless!

Also, I've been working on manners with him a lot lately. He hadn't really tried to say anything back until recently, but I figured repetition is key, right? So, I give him his lunch one day and ask him what he should say (not expecting any response) and before I could say "We say thank you mom", Will blurts out, "You're welcome Ma". Smartalict!

One day after playing outside with Will and Abby I wanted to sit down in my lawn chair to have some water and relax. Abby decided to be a pest and Will wanted to get into things he wasn't suppose to. I was kinda flustered and just grunt/sighed. So, Will walks over next to me and says, "Mama?" "Yes. What is it Will?" "I ruv you, Ma." and then he walks off smiling! It sure made my day. (He continues to say it to me randomly!)

This past Saturday we were invited to a BBQ/poker game (I don't know how to play poker, but went to prove I exist). As the day turned to night and it got dark, I was still playing outside with Will. He would walk 1/2 down their driveway and point up at the sky and ask, "Ma ma, nigh nigh???" I told him it was night time and he sat down and shook his head and said, "No nigh nigh!" "Not yet Will-Will. But, soon ok?" Then he got up and played for a bit longer.

He has his own language, but he is getting more clear about his words every day! I just love watching him develop!

He took this picture... Reminds me A LOT of my Uncle Jed.

Playing in his hamper

So handsome!

The Neverending Summer...

We're all doing real good! Last week we had some wicked wind (25+mph w/gusts up to 40mph) that I absolutely loved... had the house opened up all day long and it stayed nice 'n' cool. Otherwise, not much is new around here.
Will has been trying out new words lately and his favorite to call everyone (except me) is "Bob". James is "Bob" or "baaa" (sheep sound... its an inside thing between father and son), Papa Bryant is "Bob", etc. Not entirely sure where he got it from, but its been pretty entertaining. Also, he's entering a new phase... the "NO!" phase. If I ask Will to do anything before I can even get 3 words out he's already said "No mom!", but he does it anyway. (He may have gotten that trait from me... oops!)

Sun, oh bright sun... can you bring back the wind?

I love how Praying Mantises are attracted to our yard.
