Air planes, rental cars, hotels, oh my!

That sums up our life right now! However, we found out this week that the Caliber will be here next week!!! In addition to that, we’ve found a great house off base!! The house is fully fenced and gated, it has tons of outdoor and indoor storage space, 3 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms, nice yard and neighborhood, and NO carpet!!! We both love it. That being said, we won’t move in until Sept. 15th. Why the wait? Well, we want to give our household goods a little more time to catch up to us.
(Here are some pictures of the outside of the house that James took.)

So, hopefully we will be settled in by the end of next month. After that the next count down will be for when Emily’s quarantine is up and she can fly out here! I’m excited!!

One last thing, James taught Will to kick in the water!! Before I know it he’ll be swimming laps around the island.

Aloha long layover!

Our flights out to Guam consisted of a 6 hour flight to Hawaii and another 7 ½ hours to Guam. Thankfully, we managed to squeeze a long layover right in between! During our 24 hour layover we stayed with my sister-in-law and nieces (thank you so much!!!). Sleep deprived Will loved all of the toys and his favorite by far was a noisy Elmo/Cookie monster vacuum (from Papa Bryant to Hailey). I didn’t get a picture of it, but the sound is imprinted in my eardrums.
It was really, really nice to have a break from flying for Will’s sake and to be able to stretch before another long flight.

Anyways, that evening Claudia made a cake (for Will) and we had a little birthday celebration. Before we had cake the cousins had fun playing in the tub. When it came time for drying off, I’ve never seen Will so happy! He had fun (even though I couldn’t get a picture of it).

I loved seeing Hailey and Kailee play together and I enjoyed the other babies crawling/walking/flying/scooting around. I, also, really enjoyed spending time with Claudia. Thank you so much allowing us to stay with you!! We appreciate it so much!!!

Onward to Oak Harbor

Our last 4 days were spent up in Oak Harbor with Nanny Jo and the Earl clan.
On the way over we stopped in Marysville (one of many stops) for what was supposed to be a quick gas-potty-n-stretch break. Not so much. When James was inside grabbing a drink I was walking and playing with Will in the parking lot. Then IT happened! Will tripped on his own foot and fell. When I picked him up my first thought was to look at his legs and hands, but they were fine. His top lip was gushing out blood and swelling up a lot. I immediately grabbed napkins and wipes and told James (who had just walked out to the car) to get ice. Poor Will barely even cried and was very helpful by allowing me to clean him up and give him ice. Once the bleeding stopped, I put him in his car seat and gave him the ice bag. The rest of the trip he barely moved the ice away from his lip!

The next day was his 2nd birthday and he had a busted lip. Nice. Despite that, James and I took Will to pick up a little something at Whidbey NEX. Will picked up a birthday balloon with jungle creatures on it and was the happiest kid! Then we went to a park James use to play on when he was Will’s age (which was right on a beach). Will loved it! Once we were all tired, we headed back to have some ice cream birthday cake.

That weekend we went to Langley fair and they threw us a combined birthday and going away party. Both deserve their own “blog” in all reality, but BOTH were great and fun was had by all. Hopefully you can tell by the pictures.
After that we drove down to SeaTac and started our first leg of the trip to Guam!

The morning after he busted his lip :(

Our time in Spokane

After James signed out of McChord AFB, we decided to go spend some time in Spokane. So, away we drove! We had a great time there! Will loved spending time with “his” dogs and his grandparents (who loved having us, too).

While we were there we visited family and friends, went to Silverwood Amusement Park for a day, met up with my dad a couple times on his mail route for lunch, Will had his first of three birthday parties, and I’m sure there’s more (but I can’t remember at the moment). Needless to say we had A LOT of fun and enjoyed relaxing after all of the moving stress.
I know I had a hard time saying “good bye” to Snoball (yet again) the day we had to head back over to the west side of WA. YES, I miss my parents and family, but leaving Snoball behind feels like I left my child. It’s a horrible feeling! As much as I love and adore my parents, I didn’t choke up as much as I thought I would (then again I had to tell myself to be strong for Will).

Anyways, I loved spending time with them before we had to fly out to paradise. Here are some pictures from all of the happenings while in Spokane!

Before going on rides at Silverwood, be sure to leave you fetus at home
(or at least in the cubby box they provide).
That way you will be "Free OF Pregnancy".

Clear as water!

Here are some pictures of our travels to Guam and some here. I'll write about individual events (Spokane, Oak Harbor and Hawaii) separately and as I'm able.

This is my favorite bath pic...

We made it!!!

Woo Hoo!!! We're in Guam!!

I have A LOT to catch up on, but it will have to wait for now... I know I speak for all of us when I say THANK YOU SO MUCH to my sister-in-law (Claudia... Leevi's wife), for allowing us to stay with her during our 24 hr lay over in Hawaii. It was so nice to see Hailey and Kailee in their own element. I loved it! When I find the cord (to upload pictures) for my camera I will put them up. There are some cute shots of the three cousins, but nothing that would make a magazine cover (unless it was "How to catch a wiggle butt 2 yr old").

Anyways, I am loving the island (so far) and the humidity isn't bad at all!! I took Will to the beach/lagoon on Friday and we had fun. The water is clear and soooo warm! I love it here!

Now, its house hunting time! I will write more soon... not sure when as internet is $15 a day at the hotel. (UGH)

Enroute note...

This is a quick note just to say we're headed out towards Guam in a few hours. We had a great time and have so many good memories from the past few weeks! Thank you all! I will write more soon, but I NEED some sleep in order to deal with my guys :)

Love you all and see some soon.
