The Neverending Summer...

We're all doing real good! Last week we had some wicked wind (25+mph w/gusts up to 40mph) that I absolutely loved... had the house opened up all day long and it stayed nice 'n' cool. Otherwise, not much is new around here.
Will has been trying out new words lately and his favorite to call everyone (except me) is "Bob". James is "Bob" or "baaa" (sheep sound... its an inside thing between father and son), Papa Bryant is "Bob", etc. Not entirely sure where he got it from, but its been pretty entertaining. Also, he's entering a new phase... the "NO!" phase. If I ask Will to do anything before I can even get 3 words out he's already said "No mom!", but he does it anyway. (He may have gotten that trait from me... oops!)

Sun, oh bright sun... can you bring back the wind?

I love how Praying Mantises are attracted to our yard.

Will's antics

Since its been awhile, I'll post one just about Will...

One evening (a week ago), Will was playing in the living room before bed. Then he stood up, pulled down his pull-up and peed on the carpet, then proceeded to pull his pants back up. Poor James was in so much shock his jaw was almost to the ground, meanwhile I'm laughing too hard (on the floor) to even say anything to Will.
So, the next day I found his training potty and set it in the bathroom. Well, Will went into the kitchen cupboard and got out a garbage bag. Not thinking too much of that I didn't take it away. He then walked from the kitchen to his bathroom, dragged his potty chair out and then stuffed it in the trash bag! What is he trying to tell us???

Recently, Will has been saying a few more words , signs (with his hands) and sounds. Due to my own Freudian slip while reading him a bedtime story, he thinks sheep and "baa baa" sounds mean daddy/James. As I said a flock of sheep looked like daddy and everyone else going to work in the morning. Ever since then, he'll point to sheep and say "Dad?".
Another new word he likes is "bomb"- thanks to over hearing James on the phone. (That's a long story...)

Otherwise, he is doing really good!

Good bye 2009... Hello 2010!!!

We are all doing great all the way out here is Guam! The weather is consistently 70's-80's... it has not been lower than 73 since we got here and the highest it got was 93 (for a few hours) back in August. I know some people think this would be perfect weather to have all year round (it is), but we miss the snow. Next year we're hoping to enjoy the snow. ;)

Anyways... I don't know about anyone else, but I am VERY glad 2009 is over!!! It started really rough for everyone we knew last year. So far 2010 is better. I'll do a recap of some of the things that happened in our life (mainly dealing with Will).

January-February: Will took his first steps and started walking

March-April:
We found out we were moving to Guam and that Snoball wouldn't be able to come with us (My birthday and James had training in MD).

May-June:
Visited family and had more family fly in to see us

July-August:
We moved! Will celebrated his 2nd birthday over 3 times! We hit our 3 year mark for being a couple and since we first met. We got to spend time with The MacDonald ladies. :)

September-October:
Will started talking more! We found and moved into our house. Will "trick or treated" for Halloween. (James' birthday, too)

November-December:
Our first holiday season in paradise; Will's mystery rash; Abby joined our family; Snoball got pneumonia on New Year's Eve in Spokane; and We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary!!

We hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year's Eve festivities!

Hives, bumps and swelling- OH MY!!

Yesterday (our Wednesday) Will woke up from his nap with red, swollen toes and fingers along with a red spot on his left jaw. My first thought was, "Did he get bit by a bug?"... or what did he get into? I wash his hands and feet just in case he got something on them. It didn't help. So, we went to the BX to get allergy medicine and they didn't have the right kind. By that time his feet were swelling bad. Off to the ER!! Of course we had to hit just about EVERY red light and get stuck in traffic. When we got there half of his face was covered in hives, his lips were swollen, feet were so swollen they were hard and shiny, his hands were swollen and red, and the hives were spreading all over. I realize we waited in the check-in area for less than a half hour, but it felt longer and the longer we waited the worse he got!

Once they weighed him they took him straight to a room and asked questions like- "Is he in pain?" (my response- " Yes! He's crying.") "Is he having difficulty breathing?" (me- "Not YET, but wait a few more minutes and I'm sure he will.") "Is anything bothering him right now?" ("YES!! His feet, hands, etc.!")

I know its their job to ask questions like that, but seriously?!

After that 2-4 more doctors walked in to look at him (I honestly lost count how many as I was focused on Will). As they looked at him, we all witnessed it spread and get worse before our eyes! So, they left to get the medicine and returned about 5 mins later. That's when the battle of the "Will" began! Have I mentioned how strong he is before?! Well, it took me and James plus the doctor to give him the medicine! Once the meds were administered they observed him for an hour or so. It was amazing to see him get better before our eyes (literally!). So, after a total of two hours in the ER they sent us home!

Thank you God and the doctors he gave us last night! Will is doing so much better today! His hands and feet aren't swollen and the hives are done to only a few spots.

Will still managed to keep good spirits. :)

His feet were so swollen and hard :(
His poor hands!
