What the feather?!

Today was the day to weed the flower bed... it was finally not raining and my neck/shoulder wasn't hurting as bad. I didn't realize how bad it looked until I got out there!

While weeding, I reached to pull out a weed at the root and saw something move. It was a chicken! She was laying there ever so still and scared me so bad! The darn thing laid 9 eggs in my flower bed!! A CHICKEN in my flower bed?! She wasn't there last week as I could still see the ground, so it must have happened over the weekend.

The monstrous weeds!

As done as it's gonna get until the eggs hatch!
What's this?!?!

Surprisingly she didn't move when I was taking pictures.
She is also, THE chicken that would sit on the wall outside our bedroom window "crowing" to wake me up!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Trick or treating was very enjoyable this year... Will had a lot of fun! When he realized the whole concept of the getting candy in his bag, he did NOT let go of his bag. Here are some pictures from the night and before of him in his costume.

Growing up...

Will is sure growing up! Yesterday he helped me transform his crib into a toddler bed. Boy, was he a big helper! He found his toy hammer and would "inspect" everything I did. Once I finished and triple checked everything, he decided to try it out. For the next 1/2 hr he climbed on and off of his bed. It was priceless!
Now, he thinks he's hot stuff because he can get up and down from the couch and his bed.

Last night he wanted to wear his dirty shorts (which he took out of the dirty clothes hamper). So, he sat down and put them on... except he put both legs in one side! When he stood up (to pull them up) he realized he couldn't move. He stood there saying, "Mom!" and pointing down.

Getting dressed
Will's action shot... slow motion falling. (Don't worry, he was not harmed)
I put the hat on Elmo and Will took it off immediately to wear it himself.

The Island Fair

We went to the Micronesian Island Fair on Saturday and it was a blast! Very loud and smell that would tickle anyone's nose. It sure wore Will out! I hope you enjoy the pictures :)

This Caraboa jumped in my hand and wanted to come home with me.

This baby Caraboa scared James (he didn't see it and nearly stepped on it).

Wood crafts made from Ifit trees... just beautiful!

These guys danced and entertained everyone!

The result of Will's aboriginal face painting (he wiped his face with his hand)
Getting his face painted (he thought the guy was going to feed him and kept opening his mouth)
